What is ACE archive?
An archive created with the ACE compression format.
Server conversion requires a compatible engine we host and a verified file variant.
Technical details
ACE archives use MAIN, FILE, and RECOVERY headers; FILE headers precede compressed member data and RECOVERY headers carry recovery data. [1]
Background and compatibility
ACE 2.0 adds 64-bit header variants for large files, and solid archives share a compression dictionary across members. [1]
