What is ARC archive?
A legacy archive format supporting several compression methods.
Server conversion requires a compatible engine we host and a verified file variant.
Technical details
SEA ARC archives begin each entry with marker 0x1A and a one-byte type code; type 0 ends the archive and types 2 through 7 carry standard headers. [1]
Background and compatibility
The entry type identifies an ARC method variant, so readers need to recognize the method code stored for each member. [1]
