What is LZMA stream?
A legacy compressed data stream using LZMA. Decompression produces its contained file.
Extraction keeps regular files. Links, special filesystem entries, directory permissions and installation behavior are not retained. Limit: 128 MB input, 256 MB expanded data, and 1,000 entries.
Technical details
The LZMA-alone stream uses a small header with properties, dictionary size, and uncompressed-size information before compressed data. [1]
Background and compatibility
LZMA is a compression method; .lzma streams differ from .7z archives, which can store multiple named files and other codecs. [1]
