What is PostScript Type 1 ASCII font?
A Type 1 font with an ASCII representation.
Server processing uses engines we host. Availability depends on the deployed engine and supported file variant.
Technical details
Type 1 fonts contain PostScript-style charstrings and font dictionaries; PFA is ASCII-encoded while PFB uses a binary segmented representation. [1]
Background and compatibility
Adobe introduced PostScript Type 1 for scalable PostScript fonts; Adobe applications ended support in 2023, so newer pipelines may require conversion. [2]
