What is PICT?
A classic Macintosh graphics format that can contain raster data and drawing records.
Conversion renders supported drawing records; exports embed a raster image rather than editable drawing objects.
Technical details
PICT records QuickDraw drawing operations and image data in a sequence of picture opcodes rather than a simple fixed pixel array. [1]
Background and compatibility
ImageMagick identifies PICT as the Apple Macintosh QuickDraw picture format; .pct is an alternate extension for the same family. [1]
