What is Flash video in SWF?
A Flash container that can hold embedded video as well as interactive content.
Only embedded video and audio are converted. Scripts, interactive controls and vector animation are not run or rendered. Output uses FLV video and MP3 audio.
Technical details
SWF is a tagged binary movie format containing timeline, vector, text, and optional compressed media records. [1]
Background and compatibility
SWF belongs to the Adobe Flash authoring/runtime ecosystem; browsers discontinued the plugin runtime, so old content may need preservation viewers. [2]
