Exports contain a flattened raster image. Editing uses 8-bit browser display precision; original layers, metadata, HDR range, and scientific sample values are not retained.
HDR file format guideChoose dimensions and image quality before converting. Still-image exports keep one frame. Unedited GIF, WebP, AVIF, JPEG XL and MNG conversions can retain animation. Animated edits use a GIF intermediate with a limited color palette. Canvas editing uses browser display precision and does not preserve original EXIF, HDR, or scientific image data.
Processing uses your device when possible and our servers when required. Browser files are limited to 256 MB each; server conversions to 64 MB; browser spreadsheets to 32 MB. Previews show supported content and do not guarantee identical rendering in every application.
